Colorado DECA

State Officer TEAM

Giana Rocha

District 7 State Representative
Brighton High School

Hello! My name is Giana Rocha, I am so honored to be this years District 7 Representative! I am a senior at Brighton High School and will be attending a university in the fall to pursue a degree in political science.

Farewell, Colorado DECA!

Colorado DECA,

When I say it has been an honor to serve in this role the past year that is an understatement. Words can not begin to describe how amazing this opportunity has been and how grateful I am to have had it. From the moment of being elected I have been on cloud nine and can genuinely say this has been one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I have been able to serve my community in a new way and be a part of something bigger than myself, and for this I will be forever grateful. The learning experiences and growth I have attained over this past year of my life will help me take the next steps in pursuing a career in public service. I am so excited for my next steps and to see what life has to bring, but I promise you I will never forget my experience as a Colorado DECA State Officer.

To my fellow state officers I can’t thank you enough for your guidance and support. The connections we have made I know will last a lifetime and I can not thank you enough for being a part of my journey. My advisors, who have pushed me and helped me succeed in every way I thank you for your wisdom and inspiration you have provided me with. District 7 thank you for your perseverance and your patience as we worked together this year to build back our communities and chapters. All the way back to where it started Brighton High School DECA, a place where I am proud to call home. Thank you to my chapter for sparking my love for DECA and for being behind me as I leave you with my legacy. I know you will all do amazing things, thank you all for giving me this platform and allowing me to represent you all on a state level. Colorado DECA will always be a part of me and I will always be here for you all.
