Farewell, Colorado DECA!

Serving on the Colorado DECA state officer team for the past two years has been one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences of my life. I value every opportunity I’ve had to interact with Colorado DECA members from all around the state. Seeing everyone’s passion for DECA firsthand makes serving on this team feel profoundly rewarding.

I am so thankful for my amazing DECA advisors at Monarch High School, Mrs. Bennett and Mr. Blakely, who have continuously supported me, both as a state officer and as an individual over the past several years. Similarly, I am so grateful to my parents who have done all they can to encourage me to succeed and have instilled within me the values necessary to do so. Furthermore, I am extremely thankful to Ms. Young, Ms. Mossman, and Mr. Peer as well as the entire state officer team who have continuously worked hard to make Colorado DECA successful and have certainly made my experience as an officer very enjoyable. Finally, I am so thankful to the Colorado DECA community that has been so supportive of me and is the reason I ran for this position in the first place. I’ll miss serving on this state officer team next year. However, I am looking forward to seeing all that the 2022-2023 team will accomplish!
