Submit a Nomination for the Honorary Life Membership Award
The Honorary Life Membership Award recognizes individuals whose long-term service and contributions have had a lasting impact on Colorado DECA. Each chapter may submit one nomination per year, and the award is presented only when warranted, not necessarily on an annual basis. Nominations are reviewed and selected by the State DECA Advisory Board from eligible submissions.
Eligibility Requirements
- Nominee must be a recipient of the Friends of DECA Award, or have a minimum of ten years of support of Marketing Education and or DECA if not previously eligible
- At least three years must have passed since receiving the Friends of DECA Award
- Nominee must still be active at the local, district, state, or international DECA level
- Nominee must have made significant contributions to DECA
- Completed nomination form is required
- Maximum of two recipients statewide per year
- Recipient must attend the State Career Development Conference to receive the award
All required documents must be submitted in full. Incomplete or late nominations will not be considered. Applications must be complete and legible to be reviewed.
